Notes: The Bristlenose Plecostomus has a very unique feature that is not shared with any other fish: it has whiskers. (Not to be confused with the barbels on Catfish) Females do not grow whiskers. The whiskers are used to find food. The Bristlenose Plecostomus is great addition to any community tank due to it eating the algae off the objects inside your aquarium. The Bristlenose Plecostomus will accept all fish food, though it prefers algae and Pleco Pucks. This Plecostomus LOVES cucumber.
